Fragmentsectarians

The hard-core Realists refuse to let the released album close the record. Competing Fragments preserve alternate arrangements, excluded songs and incompatible futures as active authorities.

Document-grounded position

Competing Fragments rattle the apocryphal gates and produce rival readings of the same terminal interval.

After the Date of Total Anticipated Reality Collapse, ordinary chronology is no longer trusted. The Shared Experiential Space transmits memory, sensation and conviction between hosts and trespassers while Ron Q. Dandelionne and the Ministry of Temporal Auditing attempt to administer what remains. The 60-Second Realists insist that all of these histories accumulate inside one unadvancing physical minute.

This name and its defining actions appear in the primary “Bob Dylan Songs — 60 Second Realism” working document. Where the source is brief, this dossier keeps the limit visible and uses only the surrounding canon dispute to supply context.

Beyond the beloved Time Out of Mind

Time Out of Mind might appear to be the obvious scripture: the comeback album associated in the papers with the Bob Dylan heart-scare headline and the day of the Cruise of Deception. The hard-core Realists nevertheless refuse to stop at the official release. They turn to competing Fragments and try to divine prophetic phrases from the material the album could not contain.

The comparison is to the trouble of formalizing a uniform Bible. A released album can be quoted as a settled object; the session record exposes selection, exclusion and revision. Once that record is opened, canon becomes a contest over which version has authority to describe the terminal interval.

The 60-Second Realisticonflagration

The working file names the conflict rather than smoothing it into a metaphor: the 60-Second Realisticonflagration. It culminates in the fire-bombing of a Bleecker Street compound housing 130 Fragmentsectarians by the more MTA-aligned Tell Tale Signatories of the Final Doomrite.

No further programme is supplied for the residents of the compound. What survives is their placement on the permissive side of the canon dispute and the number of people exposed to its violence. The archive therefore leaves the sect defined through what it keeps open: multiple versions, multiple readings and the danger of refusing a final uniform text.

Four pieces of apocryphal evidence

Mississippi is left outside the album despite being judged in the notes better than much of what remained inside. Dreamin’ of You holds an intermediate route toward the darker Can’t Wait. The Water Is Wide reaches back to Rolling Thunder and returns inside Host-Contemporaneous screenings. An uptempo Not Dark Yet produces the optimism Ron treats as a capital offence.

These are not four examples of the same doctrinal result. They demonstrate four ways a version can disturb authority: exclusion, hybrid formation, temporal return and altered emotional physics. Fragments matters because it preserves all four disturbances in the record.
