A hybrid preserved in Fragments
Dreamin’ of You is described as a hybrid of a less evocative earlier version and material that will become the darker Can’t Wait. The drafting blank after the earlier version is not repaired with a guessed title. The uncertainty remains where the source leaves it.
The hybrid is important because it makes the movement between songs audible without reducing one to a discarded draft. Fragments keeps the middle state available: a recording in which more than one later identity can still be heard.

The Malacto-Man’s song and dance
The primary file places the song’s imagery inside the Malacto-Man’s song and dance upon his trespass. The connection is explicit but brief. It identifies a performance and an event without providing a complete musicological system for them.
The trespass matters because a dream in the SES cannot remain securely private. Host and trespasser already share sensory and psychological reality. A song associated with dreaming enters a mechanism in which the room, the dream and the other mind can occupy the same packet.

The version that keeps two moments together
In an ordinary chronology, an earlier text can be described as leading to a later one. Under DoTarK, the archive retains both as present evidence. Dreamin’ of You and Can’t Wait do not need a new external minute in order to continue changing relation to each other.
The entry therefore belongs with the broader Fragments schism. A uniform album wants a settled object. The hybrid makes the unsettled route part of the object that survives.
